St\u00e9r\u00e9otype du glamour et des paillettes, du bobo hippie chic, c\u2019est aussi un des festivals accueillant de tr\u00e8s grandes t\u00eates d\u2019affiches et une cons\u00e9cration pour de nombreux artistes. Se d\u00e9roulant \u00e0 quelques heures \u00e0 peine de Los Angeles, assister au festival de Coachella, c\u2019est aussi l\u2019occasion de croiser de nombreuses stars ou voir les derni\u00e8res \u0153uvres d\u2019artistes en vogue. Pour nous, c\u2019est l\u2019occasion de vous pr\u00e9senter cette vall\u00e9e qui abrite \u00e9galement la ville de <strong>Palm Springs<\/strong> que vous d\u00e9couvrirez dans plusieurs de nos circuits. M\u00eame si vous n\u2019avez pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 avoir vos billets, la ville de Palm Springs propose de nombreuses activit\u00e9s durant les week-end du festival. Situ\u00e9e \u00e0 seulement 170 km de Los Angeles, vous quitterez en \u00e0 peine 2 heures, le tumulte de la <strong>\u00ab\u00a0Cit\u00e9 des Anges\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>. C\u2019est pourquoi depuis les ann\u00e9es 20, la ville est devenue le havre de paix des stars hollywoodiennes. C\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs un des attraits de la ville\u00a0: aller voir les maisons des stars. L\u2019architecture mid-century, a la part belle dans la ville. Les stars rivalisant pour se faire construire les plus belles villas, les plus avant-gardistes. Un tour vous est  propos\u00e9 pour voir celles de Frank Sinatra, Marylin Monroe, Dean Martin, Elizabeth Taylor et Elvis Presley\u2026 <em>(pour rappel le chanteur est venu \u00e0 Palm Springs pour passer sa lune de Miel avec Liza Marie)<\/em>. Rendez-vous au visitor center qui se trouve dans une ancienne station service des ann\u00e9es 60 pour y trouver les renseignements. D\u2019ailleurs, les trottoirs de <strong>Palm Canyon Drive<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tahquitz Canyon Way et Museum Drive <\/strong>accueillent un mini <strong>Walk of Stars<\/strong>, elles ne sont pas toutes connues mais on retrouve quand m\u00eame celles de <strong>Marilyn <\/strong>et <strong>d\u2019Elvis<\/strong>, \u00e0 vous de les trouver\u00a0! Les resort sortent aussi leurs \u00e9pingles du jeu proposant une architecture aux lignes droite typique des ann\u00e9es 50, et aux couleurs acidul\u00e9es, le tout tr\u00e8s instagramable comme par exemple le <strong>Saguaro<\/strong>. Profitez de cette ambiance en vous baladant sur la rue<strong> North Palm Canyon Drive<\/strong>, plusieurs boutiques vous proposeront des pi\u00e8ces designs et color\u00e9 du parfait style Palm site de vill\u00e9giature a accueilli les voyageurs et devient \u00e0 la mode d\u00e8s les ann\u00e9es 1900. Ainsi vous pouvez visiter la <strong>Palm Springs Historical Society<\/strong>, pour en apprendre plus sur le pass\u00e9 de la ville. Si vous voulez remonter au pass\u00e9 indien de la vall\u00e9e, rendez-vous \u00e0 l\u2019<strong>Agua Caliente Cultural Museum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La r\u00e9gion de Palm Springs a tout d\u2019un paradis g\u00e9ologique\u00a0: <strong>d\u00e9sert, formation rocheuses, sources naturelles formant des vall\u00e9es peupl\u00e9s de palmiers dattiers.<\/strong> Vous trouverez forc\u00e9ment de quoi vous d\u00e9payser\u00a0! A quelques encablures, il est possible de se rendre au sommet du <strong>Mont Jacinto<\/strong> via un <strong>t\u00e9l\u00e9ph\u00e9rique <\/strong>\u00e0 plateforme tournante. D\u2019en haut, la vue sur la vall\u00e9e est saisissante, et vous permet d\u2019appr\u00e9cier les caract\u00e9ristiques de cette vall\u00e9e si particuli\u00e8re. Il parait que le soir, on peut apercevoir les lumi\u00e8res de Las Vegas\u00a0! Par contre, pensez \u00e0 prendre une polaire ou un coupe-vent, vous monterez \u00e0 plus de 2600m en 10 minutes, et vous perdrez pr\u00e8s de 15\u00b0. A quelques miles au sud, rejoignez l\u2019<strong>Indian Canyon<\/strong>, une petite <strong>oasis <\/strong>en plein d\u00e9sert\u00a0: une rivi\u00e8re, des rochers, des palmiers majestueux, et un canyon pour offrir de belles vues sur l\u2019oasis et la vall\u00e9e\u00a0!
